Over the years, I have hosted my websites with different web hosting providers. What I can say is that they are not all the same, and many of them change on you right in the middle of your hosting experience with them.

I have seen some of my former hosting companies increase their prices each year. There are some that claim to offer between 99%-100% uptime, which turned out to be more 60%-80% uptime.
