Use An Advertising Directory

Chances are you have a business, whether large or small, that many persons are unaware of. What happens in most cases is that business owners fail to properly advertise their establishments and as such the returns that they expected on their investment is not forthcoming. They simply either fail to realize the true power of advertising or fail to take action even though they know how great a marketing tool it is. Those who have realized the effectiveness of advertising have subsequently done so by placing ads on the television, on the radio, in newspapers and newsletters, in advertising directories, … Continue Reading “Use An Advertising Directory”

ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

ZoneAlarm
With the levels of spam and phishing and hacking and snooping and viruses that are prevalent nowadays, it is very important that the computers (or any other device for that matter) that we use to access the internet has some level of protection on it. Taking into consideration the things I just mentioned, it would mean that you would have to install anti-spam and anti-virus software, along with adware catchers and even a firewall program. That is quite a lot of programs to go out and buy and then install them. One software that I have been using for some … Continue Reading “ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite”

Web Hosting Companies – Part 2

This is just a follow-up to my previous post entitled Web Hosting Companies. One reader said he was unable to understand parts of the article. Well, all that particular post was doing is comparing the three hosting companies that were mentioned. Each of the companies offer hosting services at different prices, along with different amounts of space and bandwidth. A comparison was also made of their uptimes, type of server, and how many addon domains you could add to your account. It is now left up to the reader to choose which is best for him or her.… Continue Reading “Web Hosting Companies – Part 2”

HTML and PHP Editor Software

There are many pieces of software on the market that can be used to write and edit HTML and PHP files. Some of the ones I have used include:

1. PHP Expert Editor
2. HapEdit
3. EvrSoft HTML Editor
4. Macromedia Dreamweaver

They are all good programs. I use PHP Expert Editor mostly when I am writing PHP pages, since it has a built-in engine that can execute the files from within itself (you must have PHP installed on your computer). Evrsoft has the ability to allow you to view the HTML file you are creating in real time. So … Continue Reading “HTML and PHP Editor Software”

Light Bulbs – Incandescent vs. Fluorescent

Light Bulbs - RegularLight Bulbs - Fluorescent

Are you an energy-conscious person? Perhaps you have a big house that needs a lot of light. What type of light bulbs do you use? I have seen over the years that regular incandescent light bulbs tend to draw a lot of electricity and generate a lot of heat. This is compounded when the ceiling is low or if the air flow through the building is not moving. The truth be told, though, fluorescent bulbs do generate a little bit of heat, but they save on your monthly and yearly energy bills. If you do not believe me, here is a … Continue Reading “Light Bulbs – Incandescent vs. Fluorescent”
